A former commander of the Britain's aerial defense command will deliver recommendations next month on how the publicly-supported center can best support the scope of official artificial intelligence goals in national security, homeland protection and information gathering.

The center's head, a former Amazon UK boss, confirmed that multiple research initiatives at the 440-staff institute have been terminated, spun out or completed because they do not align with the fresh focus.
