Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in a California Car Crash
The visionary game developer, who helped create the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in the state of California at the age of 55.
The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.
The celebrated video game developer passed away following his automobile collided and burst into flames on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, his family, and all those touched by his legacy," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
