White House Denounces 'Democrat Fabrication' as Additional Epstein Estate Photos Released
Democratic lawmakers have made public a new tranche of what they described as "troubling" images from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The initial drop of 19 imagesāa portion of which have been seen beforeācombined with another 70 unveiled later on Friday constitute a small number of the nearly 100,000 images released to the House investigative panel, which is looking into the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The shamed investor died by apparent suicide in a New York detention cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking charges.
High-Profile Individuals in the Images
Included in the notable figures seen in the initial batch are well-known figures including movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin empire.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are blacked out.
Administration Reaction
The White House addressed the release in a official comment, charging Democrats of purposefully "choosing" the photographs for political purposes and to "seek to establish a false storyline."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a presidential representative said, asserting that "this presidency has accomplished more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have ever done by frequently urging openness, disclosing numerous documents of documents, and demanding further investigations into Epstein's liberal connections."
Panel Member Comment
The photos were disclosed without context, but as stated by a California Democrat and ranking member of the investigative panel, they raise more questions about Epstein's links with the rich and powerful.
"The moment has come to end this White House concealment and bring justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he stated in a statement.
The release of these documents coincides with the oversight committee pressing on with its inquiry into the Epstein matter.
