Starting with the gradual reveal of fresh additions ahead of the game's launch, to players developing firm views on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.

With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive appearances that highlight their personalities, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was almost selected for Aries, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. But, a Mega Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, cheerful, and spontaneous. That's why the Ram much more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Stay on the friendly side of either and benefit from a strong partner; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.

The Bull – Mega Heracross

Similar to a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, both in its regular and Super Form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Maiden is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign known for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s entire lineage, from a always shocked expression like a Maiden when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s similar to the emoji a Maiden posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than making a strategy.

Libra – Super Audino

Observe this sweet, sensitive being, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how people are feeling by their pulse. Always compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and striving to keep the harmony, there are many Libras who would likely appreciate Super Audino's abilities. Though, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to worry more about others.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly sad origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through pure resentment and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpion adores karma and retribution, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a show. As a Sagittarius personally, the number of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful little entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can think of.

The Goat – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That exudes the identical energy as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Mega trend.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
